June 7, 2019 - Mandarin, citrus, good acidity with a hint of sweetness, then a grassy finish. Delicious with more complexity that I had expected.

March 31, 2019 - Very crisp and minerals, nice green apples and sensation of crushed stones, the fruits were generous yet balanced with strong minerals and modest salinity finish.
I think it is a "GE" bottling. GE stands for Grosse Eule (Great Owl) - the big eyes of a stylized owl keeps a watchful eye on you as you pick up the bottle.

August 11, 2017 - Very tightly wound right now. A bit of wet stone, a bit of matchstick, sharp acid but very little discernible fruit - just a whiff of sweet citrus (tangerine?). Another note mentioned some chenin-like wooliness, and I think that's right.
Great balance and acidity but I assume the fruit is just hiding. Would revisit in a couple years.

2nd day update- the wine has opened considerably, and that tangerine note is more prominent. Still fairly stern acidity.

August 11, 2014 - Really opened my mind to this level of Riesling. Very complex yet crisp and delicious. Gray acidity for food pairing. Would impress drinkers of almost every white varietal at once! I would buy this by the case if I could.

May 25, 2014 - This wine is super delicious. The nose is all burned lemon peel, little burnt sulfur (which I like, hydrogen sulfite), little wooly in a chenin kinda way...all the match stick burned off over about 30 minutes and the wine opens into all sorts of floral delightfulness. Just a HINT Off-dry, but pretty austere and sharp. this wine is bottled with a kiss of CO2. Petrol, meyer lemon, honeydew, orange rind. There is such incredible lift on this wine - it's like drinking something that's weightless. High acid here, the finish is green apple and yellow underripe pear. There is such tremendous minerality to this wine: chalk, slate, nickel, washed river stone. Left one glass for the next day and although didn't show as wonderfully as the night before, the nose of orange and orange rind was amazing. the wine was a floral beauty, like a viognier in it's fruit-loop characteristics. Would happily drink more of this if I could find it.
