March 25, 2023 - The 2004 Martinelli Zinfandel Giuseppe & Luisa is a complex and full-bodied red wine with an intense ruby color. On the nose, it offers a bouquet of black cherries, blackberries, and hints of vanilla and cinnamon. As the wine opens up, aromas of dried fruit and sweet spices emerge, along with a touch of leather and tobacco.

On the palate, this Zinfandel is rich and smooth, with flavors of ripe dark fruit, chocolate, and espresso. The tannins are firm and well-structured, providing a long and satisfying finish. The wine's acidity is well-balanced, adding freshness and depth to the wine's overall profile.

Yes a bit over the drinking window but with 4 left, im rolling the dice.

August 9, 2020 - Very smooth. Has aged well. Blackberry, plum jam, honey comb and gasoline notes. Very nice.

March 11, 2017 - Sadly my last bottle of four...consumed between November 2006 and March 2017...I think I saved the best for last...simply put, wide open from the first pour with rich dark red and black fruit...thick and viscous, almost Sauternes-like, but not sweet...long finish...our glasses emptied quickly.
