January 10, 2014 - Received as part of a gifted California Wine Club subscription. Typical Californian merlot. Californian merlot is not in my wheelhouse. A touch over-oaked for my liking but that seems to run standard. I felt there may be some interesting undertones but the oak was doing its best to conceal it. I would guess it is more appreciated by the fans of the varietal from this region.

December 15, 2013 - A basic, no frills Merlot. Nothing memorable but very drinkable.
