  October 7, 2018 - Deep dark in color.
  Rich plum in flavor, it is smooth at the outset, but there is a bit too much alcohol on the finish. I think there was some spice and leather underneath the fruit but it was overshadowed by the fruit.
  A little too new world in style for my idea of a Chianti.
  
  At less than 20 bucks it is a good value for anyone who likes this style.

  July 28, 2016 - Didn't love this. Definitely forest floor and more old world, but I found it to really lack any sort of depth or fruit. Just kind of fell flat. I have a 2nd bottle that I'll open within the next 6 months to see if this one was flawed.

  October 30, 2015 - Hennepin Lake Tasting (Uptown): A small pour at a tasting. This wine is supposedly modern but I found the flavor to be quite rustic. Tar, forest floor, red fruit.
