  August 13, 2014 - Lovely bright purple colour, quite dense with purple edge. Pronounced spicy bouquet with cinnamon, allspice and coffee plus some young green fruit. The palate is quite thin with green fruit and vine leaf flavours. Unimpressed by this wine.

  July 4, 2014 - I had planned a leisurely evening with this bottle and a big fat rib eye steak, I even invited my partner to come along and join me as well ;-) but unfortunately the weather had other ideas and about 30 mins before I started to cook the power went out and stayed out which slightly mired the evening and I think also my pallet.
  On the nose I got a lot of coffee and coco with some blackcurrant and a hint of vanilla, tasting there was the sweet vanilla, blackcurrant something else fruity that I couldn’t put my finger on and a lot of the coffee and coco flavours.
  I think my mood affected my enjoyment of this wine so luckily I have another bottle on the racks and will try it again, but I will leave it 6months or so as last night I felt it was lighter than I would have expected from this blend and region and also over dominated by the coffee and coco.
