February 15, 2014 - Wowee! Deep, dark ruby color. Once opened, aromas of dark cherry, leather, baking spices and wood burst forth, as does the acid & tannin. Decanted, the nose settles down and the palate displays flavors of cassis, dark cherry leather, cedar and saddle leather, classic "club" profile. Velvety yet silky with good acids and fine tannins. Makes you want to drink more. Not a huge wine but well balanced and substantial. This is extremely enjoyable now and will benefit from another 5-8 years cellaring.
