May 1, 2020 - This is lovely and drinking very well. Not that intense on the nose, but ripe and pure with black cherry and berry notes. So sign of any "leafy" franc notes. Palate is medium to full bodied, nicely resolved with light tannins, medium grippy tannins and really nice sweet dark cherry and plum fruit. Again nothing in the way of green herbal notes, this was a really pure tasty cab franc. Not flashy or over the top with fruit, this was excellent with dinner (although did go down too easily....).

October 9, 2019 - Agree with prior 2019 notes. It's at the top of its game. Finishing my last bottle as I write this. Maybe the great visit we had to Vignamaggio flavors my opinion but this is really good. Very complex with no green or briary issues. Noticed from prior bottle that it didn't hold up well the next day but this bottle won't last that long. If you have some, I'd guess they should be consumed by the end of 2021. There is still some available online and if you need a high end ready to drink wine that's a little different, worth the effort.

January 20, 2019 - Walk around tasting. 6/6 wines of Vignamaggio. The best wine of the estate...Delicious Cabernet Franc coming in to it's drinking window! Recommended.

June 9, 2018 - PHMG WAG Parent-Child Pairs (CabS vs. Franc) (Mom and Dad Lyon's): This Franc had a nice open nose of black cherry, black raspberry, with hints of earth, leather, and florals. Acid in check! Fruit fade on day #2 made acid more obvious, now-2020.

January 21, 2018 - This is a 100% Cabernet Franc which gets 50% new oak every year. Ripe fruits, some bell pepper, good balance between acidity and sweetness. Ripe but sticky tannin. Wait until 2022+

December 31, 2017 - My wife and I drank this at vignamaggio this past 2017 summer - wow we loved the fact that it was so unique to the region - intense - smooth - reasonably complex with nice tannins - highly recommend for the value - a case is now on our cellar

November 13, 2017 - Weekly tasting group RWP #267: Tuscany (@ JdB): Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, vanilla and luxurious oak. Same on the palate, autumn forest, sweet spices, beautiful acidity and round tannin with a good bite. Luxurious wine.
