January 1, 2020 - Elegant wine, somewhat strict, very much in the mineral side; vertical and serious, good freshness here, good balance.

February 2, 2019 - La Tablee: Celebratory Dinner (BYO) (26 Bridge Street, Brooklyn): Elegant and light. Darker fruits. Some gravel. Very fresh. I had amazing in my notes. A wine that I quite enjoyed. Suspect it has many more years to go.

March 18, 2018 - Very French balance. Fruit still present and felt younger than expected for the vintage. Should be aged a bit more. Nice gaminess, acidity and tannins balance, with a good concentration. Rather serious than fun side of the côte rôtie.

March 17, 2018 - Dark red, a little murky. Dark red fruits with notes of undergrowth. Nice medium body with good acidity, tannins resolved but still providing good structure. Finishes medium long and complex. Drinking well now but should still last for a while.

  • Paul D Likes this wine:

December 14, 2017 - Christmas Wimps (La Tromplette, Chiswick): Slightly subdued at first, then floral, with pure underlying dark fruit. Medium bodied, leish but attractively so, elegant, pure dark fruit, retains its floral character on the palate, vibrant acidity with fine but still perceptible tannin, good length finish. Excellent, classic Cote-Rotie, still quite youthful. ****
