June 19, 2023 - Great showing tonight. Drinking a point, this shows deep Grenache-sweetness, sous-bois, local herbs and a fine, cool balance. If you have it, this is the moment, IMHO

October 23, 2022 - Still drinking well, refreshing, balanced, juicy, very local - if not overly complex still has layers, nueances. Garrigue, Grenache and all the fixers albeit in a lighter style - the vintage speaks well here.

December 17, 2021 - Final bottle of a case purchase. Excellent showing. Those NBW "Cuvee Unique" bottling samples age much better than their "Selection Reflets" imported by others. Fresh, vibrant, with nice red and black cherry notes, and lengthy, slightly hot finish.

September 21, 2020 - Excellent. Had with Lamb chops. Definitely still has a few years left. Nice secondary notes. A bit hot.

January 9, 2020 - Still holding well. Dark, no evident bricking. Full, roasted (yet not jammy) notes. Bramble, decent length. Great effort. Had the St Benoit Grande Garde Frome 2004 last night and this one is far superior. 5 years easily to drink at this level.

September 4, 2019 - P+p, really opened up after about 90 min. Dark black fruits with a slight bitter cherry on the back end, and a heavy dose of black licorice. Nose showed more raisinated black fruits and a mature earth note as well

March 16, 2019 - In celebration of Ben's birthday. Such a beautiful wine -- floral nose right out of the bottle, it becomes less obvious, less fresh, with time in the decanter, replaced by dried flower and mesquite. Drinking splendidly, kirsch and leather giving way to a finish of pepper spice and brush. Just about all I would want from a wine of its type. Very impressive showing

March 15, 2018 - Rather Burgundian. Elegant. Cherry fruit, garrigue. A tiny bit of leather. Long finish. In the zone. This bottle was purchased as a late release from the winery.

February 10, 2018 - Reticent on the nose. Could have used more air than I could offer it. Savory and herbal with impressive depth. It’s charms are subtle but persistent and undeniable. Seems I drank my trio with a span of about 5 years between them and given the progression, wish I had a couple more over the same timeframe.
