December 30, 2019 - Classic CDP. Beautiful notes of fig, dates, and dry fruits, very smooth. The wine is fully matured, but the well-defined integrated structure suggests that it will continue to perform for many years if left in the cellar.

November 21, 2019 - This is absolutely rocking right now! Amazing sense of complex, classic barnyard "wild child". Not for the faint of heart. Strap yourself in for this one! 93+

November 20, 2019 - Well this is quite stunning to see how healthy and majestic it remains after 15 years of age. Stunning aromas of dark fruits, slight asian soy, lavender and great earthiness which I enjoy so much. Brooding and yet waves and waves of flavors following each sip and comforting my soul with its lush texture. This reminds of a wonderful lower tone of a beautiful viola sound and it has many years ahead. A superb wine at a peak stage which will last for quite a while.(I hope) Cheers,

November 13, 2019 - This bottle was not like those described below. For me, good but not great. Elegant, good fruit but a bit crisp and short.

November 2, 2019 - Very expressive nose of kirsch, bacon fat, herbs (thyme and oregano), blackberry and plum. Palate was ready to go right away and this bottle was at peak/plateau in terms of maturity. Very good but needs food to truly shine.

(DOMAINE PEGAU DU PAPE RED) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-complex & exciting; cabbage & Brussel sprout covered by huuge vanilla component; dark black licorice; & some wild cassis; TASTE-Wow!! This wine is kicking serious ass; hugely complex; enormous amounts of bacon & leather; blueberry pie till your touching the sky; loaded w/ fresh berries; Vanilla for days; very luscious; huge mouthfeel; massive attack; beautiful firm ripe tannins, but covered w/ so much fruit & complexity; seamless mid-palate; structure; long, long finish; well-rounded; will last for 10+ years, but is approachable now; not cheap, but serious wine; elegance & refinement; tremendous effort; balance & harmony; RP-94; GV-94+
