October 29, 2023 - Perfect paring with mushrooms and brioche. Quite oxidative, nutty and slightly funky notes on the nose, but the palate was pure class. Just enough acidity to keep the oxidative notes in check, good length and intensity.

April 2, 2021 - Bright yellow color. Almost electric. Oxidized nose but with Chardo typicity underlying. Lemons & flor for days. Not terrifically complex but my oh my delicious. I drank the last glass. White wine of the night last night. Perfect with our cheese course as aperitif.

November 12, 2020 - This must be an off bottle. I'm all in on oxidative jura whites but this is just difficult. Contemplative but not pleasurable.

July 17, 2018 - Gold/ clear. Medium(+) aromas of oxidative nuts/ butterscotch. Medium palate of nuts spice - rather linear and thin. I agree with previous reviews. I am in love with Jura wine and this producer but I don't get much here. Seems dominated by the typical oxidative qualities of Jura but the complex aspects are lacking as is the mouthfeel. Is Chardonnay just not cut out for this type of winemaking or is it the bottle/vintage?

December 4, 2016 - Color deep golden color with aromas of aldehydes, faint lemon, nutty, crushed celery. on the palate briny, with charred lemon, toasted nuts, and spicy finish.

January 6, 2016 - Something may have been off with this bottle. It never really got to a point where it tasted good. It had a strong, almost brandy-like odor and that impacted the taste. It also had kind of a heavy, vegetal taste, odor, and texture that did not resolve itself. Underneath all that I could taste glimpses of a delicious white wine, so I kept drinking until near the end of the bottle. But it never shined all the way through. A disappointment...was looking forward to this Jacques Puffeney wine. May try another if I can find one.

October 15, 2015 - Hmm... I love Jura whites, but something about this bottle was off to me. Not corked, but has aromas of damp clothes, urine, sweat and pineapple. Doesn't really change much after being open for a few hours either. Palate has kind of a washed rind cheese thing going on, very oxidative but without the nutty savoury notes I expect from this style. Its all sour and salty tang, kinda vaguely fruity but not much in the way of structure or length. Disappointing. This was actually really hard to drink.

February 25, 2015 - Walnut skin, hard cheese, paste, hints of underripe Asian pear, minerals, and a little white gummy bear on the nose. Fleeting hints of wood/baking spice. Lemon warhead and a barrage of citrus fruits upfront. Light-medium bodied with almost overwhelming acidity and a medium finish of walnuts and spice. Linear and singularly focused. No mistaking it for a Jura wine but most likely in need of a few more years in the cellar.

December 14, 2014 - Tasty, classic Jura in flavor profile. Opened up with air and was singing with Chinese seafood at Fuleen. So sad the Domaine will cease to exist soon.
