February 1, 2024 - Surprisingly dark still with no hint of maturity on the rim. Very big bouquet with noticeable alcohol and black fruit. Rich dark fruit flavours and a long finish but not the most balanced wine. Very enjoyable.

January 28, 2024 - I found 3 of these on sale likely from the same source. This is the second one I have had. It comes across as more youthful than the previous bottle. I enjoy wine from this vineyard both Hidden Ridge and when it was renamed the Immortal.

December 21, 2023 - Can tell there is some age, but still in drinking window. Dark cherry/plum.

April 4, 2023 - Earth, dark fruit and chocolate of the nose. Medium plus body, lower acid, moderate tannins. New world style but with more sonoma earth. Dark fruits, graphite and chocolate with more earth on the finish. In its drinking window but no great rush. 91 points

December 22, 2022 - My previous tasting of this label were in 2014 and before that, my review and blogpost in 2019 and I must say, tonight this blew me away, exceeding expectations set by those earlier tastings. This appears to be just hitting its stride at fourteen years and is the best I've had from this producer to date.

The label, foil level and most importantly, the fill level and cork were all perfect.

Dark garnet colored, full bodied, deep, rich, intense, concentrated expressive blackberry, black raspberry and black cherry fruits with notes of licorice, dark mocha chocolate, tobacco, cedar, hints of charcoal, truffles, and graphite with firm, structured but approachable tannins and nicely balance acidity on a long firm polished finish.
