January 13, 2021 - Fabulous juicy wine!
Powerful but already with beautiful and well integrated silky tannins.
Aromas of sweet red fruits & tobacco with a palate of blueberry and cherry flavors.
Long finish! -

May 5, 2019 - Une des plus belles bouteilles cette année, j’ai été soufflé!
En bouche, bacon grillé, fruits noirs et réglisse. Une belle finale sur les cerises. Très complexe et long en bouche. Les tannins sont très fins et déliés, ils accompagne à merveille les fruits noirs et les saveurs plus animales. Le vin est plutôt sur le versant acide. Manque juste un tout petit peu de rondeur à mon goût. Reste très impressionnant. Très hâte de goûter au 2015. -

Tasted non blind.
Dark garnet to almost purple color in the glass, clear looking throuhgout. Nose of leather, roasted meat and berries. Flavors of Bing cherries, raspberries and boysenberries. Medium to bright acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now. No rating this time. Wasn't as expressive as I was anticipating. -

September 3, 2018 - 2018 Guigal single vineyard cote rotie release dinner (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo): Gamey, slight horse sweat, black hued fruit, lashings of new oak over slightly peppery spice, savoury, juicy, but the blackberry fruit is a little sour, cedar, a little alcohol warmth. Hmm.
