September 19, 2020 - My expectations were very high, and this bottle didn't meet them. It wasn't conspicuously over the hill, nor flawed, and everything was in the right place. But it was good, not memorable, claret. Given the spectacular, even revelatory wines I've had from this vintage, that was a disappointment. Despite some of the pro reviews, I'm skeptical that this is still improving. I'd drink now, and hope your bottle sings.

September 17, 2020 - Bordeaux Night with a Wonderful Mix of Friends New and Old (A suitably spaced tasting room in Los Olivos, CA): A great example of this, which is fortunate given personal and well-documented bottle variability, as well as the badly crumbled cork (extracted without any particles being left behind, I'm pleased to say). Fully mature and at-peak IMO, with sweet, gentle red fruit, plum and some spice and olive notes. Dusty tannins on the finish. Very elegant.

September 8, 2020 - Served with osso buco, and paired perfectly. Choose not to decant given the age, and think that was the right call at this stage. Needed 20 minutes in the bottle to blow off, then hummed. Structure married well with fruit. Wonderful wine, with nose of cedar, spice and pencil shavings. Planning to drink remaining bottles by end of 2022.

September 7, 2020 - Moderately full red fruits, significant soil tones, hints of savory spice. Good but has been in a range for a while and likely not going anywhere

August 15, 2020 - Everything about this bottle seems perfect except that the structure has outlasted the fruit.
