August 6, 2018 - Big, rich, meaty and powerful- 14.5%-crimson in color- looking forward to pairing it with crispy skinned roast pork with roasted vegetables. In the decanter now - expecting it to open and soften with a little time.

June 21, 2017 - Popped and poured at Mövenpick Hotel, Stuttgart. Much better an hour later after it had a chance to breathe.

July 8, 2016 - Similar impressions to FM1488's notes. Highly enjoyable wine, though the 15% abv comes through a bit too much for my taste.

Last glass better on day two.

January 17, 2016 - Deep Mahogany purple of a wine. Only slight fade to the rim. Barely Limpid. Bouquet is a teaser. Stawberry perfume laced with a cinamon nutmeg thing. Saddle leather as well rounds out the bouquet. The wine hits the palet evenly. Flows from front to back lighting up taste centers. Strawberry and Raspberry at the front that fades to a comfortable leather with a hint of spice. BAlance is really fantastic and finish is strong and consistent. Great value CNDP.

January 1, 2016 - Enjoyed this bottle on New Year's Day by an afternoon fire. I love Chateauneuf wines so perhaps I'm biased, but tasted very nice. Started with a lot of structure, decanted for an hour and became incredibly smooth and tasteful.

December 11, 2015 - Wine is Mahogany at the core and fades magenta to the rim. Barely limpid. Cherry pie on the nose. Really nice. Something else but can't name it. This is a dry wine but the sweet cherry distributes on the palate evenly. It's not overly complex. Earth tones and spice notes from the Syrah are very subtle. This is a great quality for the price point. Nicely balanced and soft lingering finish. Finish just stays even and fades nicely. This would be a fantastic wine with roast chicken, Pork, fish and many pasta dishes. Right now, I am going to sit down with this and a piece of apple pie.
