August 7, 2019 - While I don’t buy a lot of Mollydooker due to its style normally being a touch more than I enjoy, this was a pleasant surprise. I expected a glycerin fruit bomb, even at 7yrs of age. Aromatically, there is baked black cherry, toasted dates, currant, and channeling some savory dark cocoa. Even some potpourri to highlight the touch of age here. The fruit itself isn’t overly ripe. Extremely smooth on the palate with hardly any acidity or tannin. A touch of red & black licorice, ripe blackberries and black cherries with some charcoal. Tart finish. I don’t think this is getting any better, so drink up.

After a decant: tannins have beefed up. More chalky and the fruit itself is more tart. Not necessarily a drink now type wine, but I still believe it’s not getting better.

Day 2: more balanced and smooth. Drinking at its best.

December 2, 2017 - Last of the 2012. Mellowed out since last year. Big on black cherry out of the bottle. After 3 hours, really stitched together in complexity.

April 2, 2017 - Super lækker vin med masser af frugt og kraft og lang eftersmag.
Vinen åbner sig med lag på lag og overgiver sig aldrig eller mister noget at smagen.
En af de bedste vine jeg har smagt meget længe

April 1, 2017 - Super dark purplish red. Layered and complex nose with notes of cassis, black cherries, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel and even more red berries. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Needed the 'Shake'. Still a bit of heat with tons of red berries, and a little graphite. Give it a long decant. Drink till 2022.
