July 26, 2008 - Disclosure: My rating might be a little harsh on this bottle. Very classic old world style cab, not my style at all. When I open a cab, I like it to knock me out, push me over, and then rummage through my pockets and take my money. On first impressions, slightly sour cherries... not a well rounded wine. Mid palate is hollow and has a short finish. Tastes a little watered down to me with little intensity and little complexity. Might have passed it's peak.

July 25, 2008 - Sort of an easy drinking wine, but not much else to say. The taste was a little dusty, but can't really identify much except a smooth finish. Old style cab, but I've had better from this year. Nothing distinctive here. Wasn't bad, but wasn't exceptional...what do you call that? Indifference. Its unfortunate, for this bottle, that an Erna Schein 2005 Spare Me was present. It was still nice to contrast an old style cab to a new world version. I know that there are long standing debates on the subject.
