Community Tasting Notes 5

July 29, 2015 - Medium intense nose of red berries and black pepper. Light bodied but with a good core of spice and fruit and uplifting acidity. Well balanced and has time ahead of it. Can't explain it but not exactly my cup of tea. But objectively speaking it's a good wine.

January 17, 2014 - Clear garnet color. Light body. Very bright and crisp with red cherry and raspberry fruit and a saline stoniness. It fills out some with an hour of air. Very consistent with the '09 I tasted last year. Again, not much point in cellaring.

August 8, 2013 - Dinner at Bar Boulud (Bar Boulud, NY): Purple colour. Very earthy nose full of iron ore, but with a light body, simple and fresh, the alcohol heat distracts.

June 3, 2013 - Beautiful red plum color. Vegetables, herbs, burnt cherries, and red peppers. Lean, cold , and composed. A European villain in and action movie. Not your traditional Burgundian Pinot Noir, but neat.

    $29.99 OH retail

March 1, 2013 - Grape juice and earth tones on the nose. Light body with nuances of pepper, spice and a hint of earthiness. Good pinot.
