December 16, 2023 - Rich and complex nose showing lemon lime, grapefruit, pear, white flowers, acacia honey, crushed stone and smoke. The palate is mouth coating,
elegant, very smooth and refined, oily and fat, with refreshing acidty and a long bright finish with chalky and salty minerals.Excellent and clearly not at its peak.

October 5, 2023 - Rousseau Clos St Jacques and Corton-Charlemagne Dinner (Sepia - Chicago IL): Rich and nearly tropical with a hint of assertive structure, so lots of great things going on even if this didn't seem perfectly harmonious tonight.

October 5, 2023 - Fairly classic in terms of concentration and C-C character, if a tad sharp around the edges which I think is simply the nature of the vintage. At peak.

December 3, 2022 - Seventeenth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Hughes House - Chicago IL): In 12/08/07 vertical. Slightly reduced to start. Rich and ripe with broad cross-section of stone and orchard fruit. Wonderfully dense and concentrated, this gradually emerged from its rich shell to slowly show its depth and potential. Not quite yet at its peak.

August 3, 2022 - Beautiful, more resolved than last bottle.
Lots of fruit and depth but not too aggressive or acidic. I would describe it as almost creamy.
Shame how Burgs have gone up in price...

June 30, 2022 - Birthday Dinner Featuring Bonneau du Martray and the Very Best of Chambolle-Musigny (The Bristol - Chicago IL): In 11/12/13/14 vertical, followed by 06/07/08/10 vertical. Floral and opulent is every way imaginable, showing peach and ripe apple, yet also balanced and vibrant. Good now.

April 26, 2022 - The one we tried to beat the "Monty" (Kolabo): "Beat the 2004 Drouhin Montrachet"

Nose showed red apples, pu-er and malt with some slight oxidated musty notes. Others at the table suggested a bit of cork taint. Palate showed some VA, however looking deeper, there is some lemon pith, mature yellow peaches and apples at the core. I felt that this was a little disjointed and this was definitely not the best representation today.

January 14, 2022 - Nice and unctous with much promise that didn't seem to deliver as it cooled and aerated.
Lemon notes very muted as was the whole experience.
Not bad but not for the price.
