March 20, 2023 - Nose of stewed black and red cherries. The palate is round and very mature. Less stewy, but muddled nonetheless. This lacks focus and linearity. Not what I'm looking for from Piemonte. That said, it's a decent older wine if you like gritty tannins. 87

Edit: After reading my previous review, this must be huge bottle variation.

August 9, 2022 - VERY light color. Barely redolent of pine forest floor, mint and road tar. Light-medium bodied, this may be the lightest bodied Barbaresco I've ever encountered. This is youthful and fresh and shows no signs of being 12. There's very little on the palate, it faintly echoes the nose. Fine texture and freshness, there's just so light in palate presence. Drink now-2028 91

Edit: despite being decanted (smaller decanter) for 3 hours, this is continuing to gain weight in the glass.

February 6, 2022 - Surprise find and another lovely showing. 4 years after last bottle this was showing nicely with some brick on the rim. Leather, tobacco, dried cherries and red cherry fruit on the nose. Palate is equally grand - nice balance - soft dry tannins, juicy acidity and nice sweet yet dry red and black cherry fruit. Excellent.

February 1, 2022 - This has evolved so nicely and is in perfect drinking window. Shows the importance of patience with Nebbiolo Alluring classic nose gives way to great mouthfeel midweight and stupendous wine for price point

December 9, 2020 - Beautiful aromas of northern Italy. In the middle of a pandemic, this brings me back to my visit. Earthy flavors on the front with a wash of dark chocolate coming through. Finish is long and smooth with a velvet texture with dark fruit coming through in the end.
