May 26, 2024 - Tasted side by side with a Ruchottes of Mugneret Gibourg of the same year. Opened the evening before, took a half glass for slow aeration and he needed it. Lots of things going on, red fruit and black currant, pretty wild, less round and polished vs the Mugneret, but more interesting.

December 24, 2022 - Christmas eve - no formal notes.
Initially very closed, not giving away much (despite 1 hour+ in the decanter).
Earthy, dark berries with some spices.
Intense palate, rustic and somewhat "wild", sweet cherries, earth a touch of smoked meat.
    Very fine length and finish.
Allot of fruit waiting underneath - a bit tightly knit tonight.
I'd suggest to give this a bit more time, as there is plenty of stuff and I am sure a big reward for the patient.
A very fine wine in the making here.

    December 12, 2022 - Rousseau Ruchottes-Chambertin 2012.
    Litt tilbakeholden foreløpig.
    Likevel småpent.
    Deilig kremet frukt på smak.
    Superb fruktkvalitet på denne.
    Kraft og eleganse.
    Meget lang med pene tanniner.
    Kan med fordel ligge lenger.
    Nydelig.

August 27, 2022 - Initially a little tight with earthy notes. With time really opening up somewhat and becoming pure and attractive. But ideally needs some more time.

August 27, 2022 - Very closed at the beginning. Did not reveal much beyond some earthy elements. Tannins still dense, but not rustic, so it should work out with age. After ca 2h it opened up a bit more and revealed some of the Rousseau complexity. I would drink this after 2027.

May 6, 2022 - Première bouteille sur 3. C’est encore jeune mais parfaitement buvable, fin et surtout très long.

January 16, 2022 - Coincidentally served blind next to a 2009 Mugneret Gibourg Ruchottes Chambertin (can imagine everyone’s surprised looks at the bottle reveal). I find sometimes find Rousseau Clos des Ruchottes slightly awkward, maybe the rustic terroir doesn’t mingle well with Rousseau’s house style of elegant Pinot Noir. Nonetheless still a fantastic bottle compared to many Grand Crus. Sleek dark berries, and earthy gravel, a hint of stem and a touch of grippy structure. Quite powerful on the palate yet a tad reserved on the nose. Le Chambertin? 2010? (92/100)

December 14, 2021 - more red, fuller body compare with the 98 csj. It has notable sweetness and ripen taste. But not too much tanning, and not that concentrated.

January 25, 2020 - At the beginning it was all primary w/ new oak nose. After 2.5hrs, the wine opened up. Sweet, intense, yet very elegant. After 3.5hrs, it got even more resolved. I'd wish to open it when it's more aged. Darker fruits than roumier's version, but roumier's is prettier.
