    January 7, 2023 - Lacking somewhat in the type of intense flavors I’m used to with CA Pinots.

    January 1, 2023 - Very fresh fruit, slightly tart with cranberry and pomegranate impressions. Did not pick up much of any tannic structure, lacking length or complexity on the finish. Seemed relatively open, though we finished the bottle within an hour. Last bottle.

    November 19, 2022 - Burgundy 2012 against German-speaking competitors: N: this is more closed. The fruit is there but sublimated. Very elegant. On day two it showed spices (cloves) mixed with game notes. Special and lovely.
    Direct and vertical on the palate, very elegant, with fine tannins which came out only towards the end.
    On day two the spices became more prominent on the palate too. Mineral and deep with very fine tannins. Very long finish on earthy notes.

    January 30, 2022 - Decanted for several hours prior to drinking.

    This wine is in the early stage of its drinking window. Very good density of fruit with a nice acid/fruit balance. Still detect some tannins on the finish and this wine will likely improve with 2+ more years of bottle age.

    Darker cherry fruit with earth and a round fuller body finish. Very good overall. While this bottle is not the most elegant red burgundy I have has recently it is nevertheless very well balanced and reflected the vintage. A pleasure to drink even if it is a bit too early. Recommended.

    Score = 91

    September 22, 2021 - In a very closed and reticent stage, even with several hours air, fine grained but prominent tannin and overall quite veiled and muted, though underlying there are hints of smoke, spice, citrus, mineralite, I think in several years time this will be quite lovely.

    December 21, 2020 - Decanted and followed over a couple of hours. Nice dark ruby. Nose of cherry cola and Christmas spices. Ok burg, drinking fine now, but not my favorite style.

    December 16, 2020 - Punches nicely above its weightclass with terrific concentration that is well balanced with a backbone of structure. Attractive spice and musk. Approachable now, but upside as this gains integration and nuance.

    October 21, 2019 - Pas un vin très riche mais doté d'une certaine profondeur. L'acidité est bien présente mais l'équilibre est conservé. Il risque de développer de la complexité avec les années et la longueur et là. La prochaine pas avant deux ans.
    C'est très bon, mais pour l'instant il ne vaut pas les 64$ payés il y a quelques années. Présentement, je dirais que ça vaut environ 45$ (can).
