December 8, 2019 - Unlike the difficult Nuits-Saint-Georges, this is showing well today. For 2012 it displays a relatively cool and minerally style, with a note of marc on the finish, fresh and youthful, with grippy tannins, but with the first signs of aromatic evolution too, and a pleasing balance between suave and sauvage. Pinot Noir rarely develops in a straight line, but with the Forey 2012’s a clear pattern is still to emerge.

October 4, 2018 - VinoLaprisco Tasting (Restaurant De Karpendonkse Hoeve *, Eindhoven, Netherlands): As is Morey’s wont, this displays a certain sauvage, but surprisingly it is the smoothest and the most refined of the Forey 2012 trio tonight.

March 6, 2018 - Continues to develop well, typical for Forey’s wine making style in the 2012 vintage, good intensity and precision, noticeable spicy oak, ripe fruit but minerally and focused and with positive phenolic grip, floral lift, forest floor, mild sauvage, good length. A solid Morey. Early maturity, drink now - 2022/2024.

March 31, 2017 - This is coming together very nicely. Well balanced, fresh and harmonious, ripe fruit, oak spice, floral lift, just a hint of sous-bois, medium weight, elegant bitters, pure flavours of good intensity, lovely length. Seems to be entering its plateau of maturity, drink now - 2022+.

January 7, 2016 - A fine Morey village that is still too young but already shows its lovely quality and potential. It is firm, mineral and structured, but the wood is beautifully integrated and there is ample ripe fruit and spice to balance the cool, structural elements. The lovely terroir expression comes without any rusticity, there is floral lift from some stems, medium weight, good flavour intensity and length. Should reach its plateau of maturity in 2018/19 and stay there for another 5 years.
