  February 15, 2017 - Misspelled "Reigniots" on the label this year. Weird. This has been an impressive bottling from Laurent in the past. Still impressive but I'm not sure it's at the level it should be considering the vintage. Material is on the lean side and the oak is very overt, actually shows the barrels more than the fruit at this point with caramel and spicebox flavors. It wouldn't feel aggressive if the fruit was bolder but since the wine is a gossamer light-to-middleweight in body at best the oak is what it's showing. On the plus side, the texture and body is very elegant and feminine - this pulls off that silky mouthfeel that the high-elevation sites around here like Petits Monts do so well. Just have to hope it's able to digest that wood over the long term.

  August 20, 2016 - Very interesting wine distributed coffee, sesame, vivid red fruits. Suspected that is 200% barrel wine

  March 7, 2016 - Starts out grumpy and weird but opens up with extended airing to reveal nice, zappy cherry fruit but remains rather underwhelming given the quality of the vintage and terroir.
