January 31, 2024 - Dégusté a 67 Pall Mall, ouvert 1 heure avant service. Superbe bouteille, au nez enivrant et magique, et en bouche un parfait équilibre entre puissance et finesse. J’ai adoré !

August 29, 2022 - This wine is progressing well, starting to enter its drinking window. Fragrant nose with red fruit, soft tannins, crunchy and young still it its profile, not much tertiary complexity yet. Elegant, a pleasure to drink but I will wait for 3 more years for it to gain additional tertiary aromas.

March 17, 2022 - Decanted briefly. Beautifully balanced with perfumed fruit, delicate body, and gorgeous, complex nose. My only bottle as I've been trying a wide variety of Burgs to enrich my knowledge.

    August 15, 2018 - Pop and pour

Highly aromatic, a bit of black licorice, menthol

Long red raspberry and black cherry on palate; dense flavors and nice stocky feel

Beautiful finish, long and velvety with unresolved tannins that are fine. Nice level of minerality and great stretch.

Really like this wine a lot!

I think in 2-4 years it will be awesome but can actually be quaffed quite young today and is delicious.

June 2, 2017 - This wine is a good example of why some good burgundys might be better drunk young. Agree with most recent notes, would add it's also exciting and refreshing.

February 4, 2017 - During a tasting. Light purple, lighter color than expected given how dark the CdR usually is. Expressive nose of violets, blue fruit, really floral too, a touch of grape stalks. Very convincing aromatics. On the palate this wine is light bodied, really elegant but there is also lots of dry extract providing a punchy structure. Velvet entry, iron fist at the finish. Wait till 2020 and this will be a grand, elegant wine. Really nice.

February 3, 2017 - Still pretty closed at the moment, but the potential is undeniable. Sweet red berries (strawberries, red currant), but also some darker notes, overall pretty bright aromatics though, with crushed flowers, sweet tobacco and some minerality too. It's medium bodied, but with excellent mid-palate persistence and with medium-high acidity and medium-high tannin that still needs some time to soften. Excellent length. Still a baby in terms of evolution but we all agreed that this is an amazing wine with fantastic potential. (96-97)

July 11, 2015 - Bright and pure cherry fruit, beet root, baking spice, peppermint, and even some green skittle. Certainly the most fruit of the three Lignier's, but also the most complete and ready to drink given some structure yet to resolve but very light and deft. At this price you buy to hold, but certainly has its delights now too. I was tasting this the whole way home. Very nice.
