    November 19, 2022 - Burgundy 2012 against German-speaking competitors: N: powerful, almost ferrous.
On the palate too it is all power and with firm tannins.

January 11, 2022 - A belated birthday celebration: Still very young but not entirely a crime to drink this now. A little funky and natural on the nos, the fruit quality was evident and was not masked by the high alcohol level and extraction. Always wonder how Damoy manages to make such heavy wines without being too monolithic, excellent depth of dark blue fruit. Very much a step up over the Chapelle that I tried a couple of years ago.

November 22, 2021 - Sweetness works at end of long night.

July 11, 2020 - Ravinia at Home (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Note from memory from last night. Dark fruit that seems forward to start, but then subdued from middle forward with assertive acidity. Needs lots of time.

May 8, 2015 - Serious dark fruit, earth, touch of iron and rhubarb along with forward spice on the nose. Thick and deep on the palate with ripe dark fruit and spice. Very expressive. Nice finish. This is outstanding, but I prefer the flavor profile and finesse of the Beze.
