Community Tasting Notes 2

December 13, 2019 - Marinated meat, pepper, smoke, stewed plum. Developing. Noticeable acidity driving long finish, reminds me of BBQ brisket stuck between teeth. Not everyone's ideal image of N. Rhone (I was the only one who really dug the 2012 at a recent Rhone themed meetup), but I'm a fan.

    April 26, 2017 - WSET Advanced (level 3) - Classroom Tastings - WEEK 7 (Texas Wine School, Houston, Tx): WSL3 WK7

    A: Deep Garnet
    N: Medium (+) intensity
Prune, cherry (instructor says 'stewed'), violet, vanilla, leather, savory. Developing.
P: Dry. Medium (+) acid, medium (+) tannin, medium alcohol, medium (+) body, medium intensity (instructor got medium +) and a medium (+) finish (long for instructor).
Flavor same as nose plus cinnamon, baking spices, bitter chocolate and clove
C: Outstanding quality wine but one to drink now (within next 5 years), don't age.
