November 2, 2019 - Flott nese! Floral og delikat, lyse topptoner, mørke og modne kirsebær. Kunne nok blitt lurt til Chambolle blindt her! Lett og juicy i munn. Ikke like aromatisk spennende som på nese, men pen og balansert. Frisk og delikat frukt, nesten helt fri for tanniner. Medium lang finish.

October 19, 2019 - A private dinner with friends (Restaurant Zoldering, Amsterdam, NL): Floral and lifted, elegant and dancing and fresh, completely belying its age, firmly structured, ripe fruit, elegant weight (12.5% ABV), elegant tannins, very good resonance and length. Quite amazing for what it is.

November 6, 2015 - Really marvelous for such a "lowly" appellation. Ripe pinot flavors, augmented by caraway and smoke. A very serious wine with velvety tannins and bright, but not underripe, acidity. Would be great in five years, but more than enjoyable now. Makes me wish we got more than just one bottle for the year!

August 7, 2015 - The 2012 Emmanuel Rouget Passetoutgrains is very, very good at this level, bursting from the glass with a youthful and deep bouquet of earthy black raspberry, red plum, herbs and woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is strikingly concentrated and intensely flavored, with a bright core of acidity and nice ripe tannins. Serious stuff, which bodes well for the grander wines in the cellar in 2012. This has an easy five or six years of positive evolution ahead of it.
