    January 19, 2019 - Dark purple color with medium width legs. Aroma of plum with a slight amount of alcohol/heat. Flavors of fig & plum with medium body and fleshy texture with a 30 sec finish. Some acidity, well integrated tannis.

    February 17, 2018 - Delicious. Cloudy garnet color, almost Brunello like. Mild but present fruit...had with salmon and complimented beautifully.

    January 14, 2018 - Very nice wine. Aromas of anise and cherries. Flavors of dark fruit, blackberries, cola. Well rounded mouthfeel, velvety, with a long finish. Nicely done.

    June 18, 2017 - My first experience with this producer for Father's day with steak and grilled romaine. Fantastic. Dense ruby in color. Aromas of black and dark red fruits, dark chocolate, dried herbs and spices like cumin and anise, and eucalyptus. Medium (+) body, medium acid, fairly long finish, and flavors of dark and dark red fruits, chocolate, and dried spices. Quite enjoyable. Awesome with steaks tonight.

    May 15, 2016 - Opened today for lunch with pork marsala. Oh mama! Reviewed this one a little while back and this bottle opened and consumed today was just as fantastic as the first. The nose of this wine was thick and dense. I think it's lost a bit of its powerful blackberry core, but it was still very present in this bottle. The wine went great with the pork and scalloped potatoes. When the marsala sauce was involved, this one became much more fruity, gained a little bit of even a floral type of note. Great integration, balance and structure. Finished with oomph, black pepper hawthorne, blackberry. Nice wine. I believe that this one is not going to appreciate with additional bottle age, as it really was a little funky in the first 5 minutes after cork pop. Needs about 30 minutes of decanting in bottle before serving.

    February 17, 2016 - This wine is at its peak now. Popped and poured. Dark ruby, almost opaque in the glass, with legs; quite amazing bouquet, blackberry pie with underbrush; the black fruit and spice continue on the palate along with chocolate, caramel, oak, olive and tobacco box; sumptuous mouthfeel. Medium finish that just makes you want to reach for the glass again. Pure pleasure.
