Community Tasting Notes 20

January 18, 2020 - Nose was floral with a bright sweet cherry note, taste was tight at first, but 20 minutes of air opened it up. Good fruit and a balanced note of dryness and light tart fruit. Finish was long and balanced.

May 11, 2019 - Nose was full fruit and floral, taste was tart and sweet, pixie stick, with floral notes, fruit was a little muted but still holding on with great balance, finish was clean and balanced tannins.

November 22, 2018 - Drank this last night with Thanksgiving dinner. Beautiful and pretty wine.

November 24, 2016 - Outstanding wine, drunk earlier today with Thanksgiving dinner. Powerful, opulent, and pretty nose of red fruit, floral, and spice. Palate is very nicely poised and leads to a long finish. This note doesn't do justice to this impressive wine...since I didn't take notes at the dinner table! Gorgeous wine.

June 8, 2016 - A beautiful pinot. Color starts almost as a rosé and takes two hours to get to a deep garnet color. Nose has sweet cherry, spice, and a sweet leafiness. Palate is nicely medium with an emphasis on sweet cherry and savory notes. With enough time, herbs de Provence and a clean dry earth come through. Finish is earthy and long, if a bit shy and subtle. This wine charms and conquers with prettiness. Can I call it Burgundian-but-prettier? Love it!
