February 27, 2021 - Drinking quite well. Hour decant accompanying a meat heavy pizza and some side veggies. More like a meal than finger foods. This went well, acidity and fruit-wise. Looks pretty thick in the glass with a dense inky garnet. It comes across the palate lighter than that like a magic trick. Nose of cherries and pomegranate, a touch fruit-roll-up style fused with some vanilla, light earthiness, and a oh-so subtle waft of cola. Use a large glass and swirl away, there's more there for the indulgence. front palate comes with just-tart cherries brimming with a coat of raspberry underneath. Vanilla, some supple tannins in the texture as tart turns refreshing acidity towards the middle, fruit mellowing out; and then all kicking back in on a nice lengthy finish. A well done wine, great composition. Sitting on quite a bit of these, will pace well, can go some distance, however I think younger may be better than bleeding out/gambling on the last year of maturity.

September 26, 2020 - This is quite nice. Did not have the sour cherry flavor of the last bottle.

August 24, 2020 - Dusty roadside raspberries on the nose with an aromatic floral vinegar note. Salty dark fruit on the palate with a generous acid undertow moving into a sweet tannic floral finish. Lovely maturity and balance. Excellent with golden caramalized sesame tofu and bok choy.
