    July 13, 2023 - Tasted over 2 hrs
-med dark red purple mild edge clearing
-subtle perfumed dark berry very faint smoked meat
-med/med+ acidity leaves a sharp tang on the finish, med/med- weight some saline dark berry fruit remnants with a faint medicinal note, med/med- fine tannins
-less savory and less interesting than the Halcon earlier this week, faded fruit but no overtly mature elements - probably best to drink up

March 8, 2023 - Final bottle from a 4 pack, last consumed almost 3 yrs ago.
This wine is wild on the nose, with aromas of cooked bacon fat, olive paste, rhubarb, road tar, and black peppercorns.
The palate is deceivingly more feminine, showing red and black fruits, meat, pepper, and anise, wrapped in 12.8% abv, coming across slightly lean yet very purposeful. There is a Northern Rhone ilk, which is a big compliment IMHO, lovely acidity, resolving tannins, quite on the lighter side as the wine is nearing full maturity. Drink now.

-med acidity, med weight, juicy dark berry, med- tannins mostly resolved
    -ready for optimal drinking now

February 1, 2022 - Black fruit and heavy mint on the core. Unlike the prior bottle, this one seemed played out.

September 30, 2021 - 1hr+ decant. Ruby color with clarity. Nose dominated by cherries and very Pinot like. Fruit forward wine with cherries, cured meats, and some smokiness. Lacks depth and isn’t really my style. Medium minus finish.
