May 8, 2019 - We drank our last bottle of the 2012 RRV last night with spaghetti with tomato sauce and chicken sausage, along with a side salad and some crunchy french bread. The food was great, and the wine was wonderful too! Two years have passed since we drank our first bottle, and age has helped the wine deepen its dark fruit flavors and mouthfeel. Much bigger and rounder this time, which resulted in a higher score (improved to a 92 from a 91). If I had another bottle, I'd choose to wait another two years and see how much further it develops. It's really tasty now, however, so don't take my words to mean you won't enjoy it greatly if you feel compelled not to wait and open a bottle with a pasta dinner!

April 8, 2019 - Opened night before which makes huge difference with these wines. Super smooth.

March 7, 2019 - Complimentary of Bird - hand carried - at Benihana. Still the old Kosta Browne style so the best Pinot Noir in my taste. Excellent. It makes me mad that the winery is changing the style; I have dropped myself from the mailing list. Legacy bottles should be cherished.

March 2, 2019 - Opened and found it a little light with strawberry flavors. The next next day it was completely different, more dark fruit and complexity.
