August 17, 2019 - A little behind on my notes. Brought to a friends house, shared with a larger group, single glass over 45 minutes. Pretty expressive with honey, lanolin, white flowers, pear and tropical fruits. Nicely balanced and really came into its own with a little air. One my favorite Loire producers and easy to recommend annually.

    Same bottle as Rocknroller.

June 17, 2018 - Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of lemon curd, honey, and minerals with exceptional nuance. Wonderful supporting acidity with very good balance and a long finish. Quite surprised at how good this wine was. The focus and definition were superb.

-- tasted non-blind over 2 hours on Day 1; brief sip on Day 4 --

NOSE: tight & rich; perhaps a touch of botrytis; somewhat Gewurz-like on Day 4, with some honey and lychee tones.

BODY: rich, golden green-yellow color; medium-full bodied.

TASTE: rich; seems a touch sweet on the palate, but it finishes dry; hay; ambergris; 14% alc. sticks out a little bit; Gewurz-like; medium-low acidity; canned pears; a touch spicy (woodsy). Day 4: much better --- alc. not sticking-out anymore, and now presenting much sweeter than on Day 1. Strong Hold recommendation on this one.

August 30, 2017 - Very complex with notes of wet hay, honey, candied tropical fruit, stones, herbs, minerals. Swinging between off-dry and dry with mid-long aftertaste. Acidity is nicely in balance with the other tones.
With every smell and every sip different layers are dominating.
    Very interesting experience.
For me personally too heavy (14%).

February 4, 2017 - Absolutely electric. Filled with gorgeous caramelized pineapple, wildflower honey, roasted pecans, wet slate, and meyer lemon acidity. Superb body, length, and tension throughout. Drink or hold, as this will continue to age effortlessly.

January 22, 2017 - Gorgeous wine. Aromas of lemon curd and peaches, mixed nuts, honeyed green tea. Rich but so zesty on the palate, the minerals are killer, such precision and focus in this wine. Lime, green melon, apricot, peach, honey, deep tea, dried flowers and honey. Gorgeous stuff. So much life ahead but this was really pretty to sip over the course of an afternoon and evening with my Pops, who also loved it.

September 15, 2016 - Decanted for now 1.5h A:Apples, peaches, pears, herbs, wet rocks, dusty bitterness in a good way. P: Ripe apples, pears, pineapple, herbs, minerals, mild wet wool that swirl back and forth in layers. Definitely on the fruity side but nicely balanced by acids. Usually demi-sec but seems a tad bit drier than that. Perhaps more like a German feinherb. Medium bodied. Nice acids. F: Fruit, rocks, herbs that echo back and forth. Really nicely done.
