January 10, 2023 - This was quite impressive and up against Lynch Bages 2009, 2010, 1990, this smoked them all in a blind tasting. It even beat out the 2009 version, but just barely. Big ripe dusty black cherry with wonderful density and length, a fine elegant structure with sweet tannins My favorite wine of the night and 2nd for the group.

January 10, 2023 - WOTN by my palate with our new group. Licorice, coffee grounds on the nose early on. Beautiful barrel spice component on the palate and it elongates through the finish, too. Very balanced and just a beautiful wine tonight!

Addendum: a little left in bottle under cork and tried the 2nd day. A little more astringency noted and the fruit profile leans a tad more toward prune now. Not quite as well balanced as night 1 but still good quality. Probably would not be #1 right now, maybe a 93?

November 18, 2022 - From magnum. And it kinda paired well with the oddly sweet dishes because it was sweet.

May 3, 2022 - Another delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from a Single Vineyard in Napa Valley.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity.

Showing black fruits with tobacco, chocolates, coffee, vanilla, cedar, licorice, spices and peppercorn.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with a long finish and round tannins.

Showing great complexity and mouthfeel. Rich, yet elegant and fruit forward.

Good right out of the bottle and probably better with airtime, but I didn't have that luxury, as the bottle finished right away.

I had this vintage 5 years ago (from a 750ml), and loved it too. This Magnum will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Good by itself, and does not need any food, but will pair very nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1%Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Grapes are grown at 1,200 feet of elevation, and were aged in oak barrels for 26 months. A small production of only 250 cases.

    14.7% alcohol by volume.

    95 points.

    $800 (Magnum).
