June 22, 2020 - Fourth bottle of a case. The wine is very dark in the glass with no bricking evident. This remains very fragrant with generous aromas of cassis, violets, vanilla, cloves, iron, and briars. On the palate, the Petit Verdot provides dense tannic structure with thick and dense black fruit, slightly bitter espresso, and anise. Good acidic lift in the mid palate where the anise coasts into a mineral filled finish.

Very good length. This has softened from my recollection of prior bottles. In a great place right now, this should continue to evolve gracefully based on previously consumed bottles. Impressed with this wine as it has provided a steady and consistent tasting experience at an outstanding price point.

    Drink now through 2025.

June 3, 2020 - Very nice. Barnyard, leather, funky aromatics, some sour cherry on the palate. Went very nicely with thick lamb chops.

March 30, 2020 - Good Tuscany Tuesday night bottle. Fully developed. Dark fruits, but muddied, rather than distinct flavors.

February 12, 2020 - Dark, deep ruby red color. Lot of legs. Smoky earth, forest floor, horse barn on the nose. Intense nose persists with food. Palate of earth, leather, smoky, tobacco, dark plum. Our favorite style. We really love it.

January 28, 2020 - Similar to previous notes. Decent Italian, good dark berry balanced with enough tannin. No further development anticipated.
