May 2, 2021 - Been drinking quite a few 2011's lately, and this one may be the best of the bunch. This is showing wonderfully at a decade into it's journey, with dried flowers and cocoa on the nose which really bring a smile to your face. Dark fruit on the palate with what seems to be a note of caramel on the long finish. With plenty of tannins and structure to go the distance, I'm really glad I have a couple more in the cellar to check back in on in a few years. 3 hour decant, with day 1 = day 2.

May 24, 2020 - Dark fruits, raspberries and blackberries, in the nose. A bit of tannin on the attack and then great length with a bit of dryness. Color was dark ruby red. Drinking nicely.

August 29, 2019 - Agree with earlier notes-- this impressive for 2011 vintage. Drank days one and three. Day one, this was a little sweet with fruits (dark berries) forward. Day 3 this was fully integrated with secondary flavors. On both days, paired superbly with beef dishes. Can't wait to get to my later vintages.

August 23, 2017 - Unbelievable how good this is out of 2011 Napa. These are much much cheaper than the following couple years but really show how PH made his bones and solidified his reputation as a legend. But really, with Andy Beckstoffer running the show who couldn't make a 90 pointer out of these grapes

November 4, 2015 - Impressive for the vintage, with chocolate and dark fruit notes....seamless and slightly sweet. Not sure it is worth the tariff
