April 18, 2022 - Animal, anise, iron.
April 10, 2022 - Light animale, dark fruit, good acidity and med tannin, liquorice and metal. Over the top.
Drink.
January 23, 2022 - I enjoyed this wine.
December 22, 2021 - Dejlig blød
December 15, 2021 - Very nice Cotes du Rhone, clearly aged with plenty of tertiary notes from the aging, but still stays fresh on the palate thanks to the acidity. Drinks very nice now, and should probably not be left in the cellar for more than a few years more.
October 1, 2021 - Still drinks v well, being at the top, having beautiful tertiary aromas.
Plenty of fatness, ripe fruit, licorice, leather, a bit of barn.
If having been kept optimally (as is still the case today, when you get it from Philipson), it should easily drink well for another 3-5 yrs. (Heck - real connoisseurs might love it in 10 or 15 ;-)
According to a newspaper review posted on Philipsons site 600.000 btls.(!) was produced.. that explains why he's still having it for sale. At $12.5 it's quite a bargain.
July 16, 2021 - 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache og 10% Mourvèdre
May 4, 2021 - Full, round, typical CdR.
March 14, 2021 - Otroligt bra för vad det är! Enorm qpr men också ett klart bra vin! Grym koncentration för CdR.
89-90
March 12, 2021 - Mature berries, spices and sweet licorice with also some sweetness and bitternes on the palate. Medium+ acid, medium tannins in the background. Medium body and lenght. At first impression the concentration of fruit seems relatively week on behalf of the freshness, but throghout the bottle the fruit contration increases to a rather nice North Rhone like level.
