February 22, 2019 - A dark-fruited southern French experience of some little concentration and intensity. Heavyish, good.

November 21, 2018 - Really fantastic. Just wish I waited a full hour before first sip. It was really starting to come on just as we were finishing. Deep purple, a little sediment. Rich flavors. Note the bit of licorice that others note and agree with very supple tannins noted by several others. My initial thought was this was primarily syrah due to the depth and color. Feels like it still has plenty of life. May wait a year to open my second bottle.

July 25, 2018 - Just terrific. Vibrant, great lifty energy with a full southern Rhone palate and sonorous finish. Outshines Chateauneuf of this vintage. "Only" 14% alcohol, and you don't feel it. Mostly ancient Carignan grown on a limestone streak, an outlier from any perspective. But proof that when you want something done right, call in the Burgundians. Wow. Easily worth $35, but I paid half that.

March 28, 2018 - Cellartracker in the flesh with Stefan, Mats, Tomas and Basil (La Rochelle, Tokyo): Soft red and black berries, slightly earthy with semi carbonic maceration. In the mouth soft berry fruit, sweet spice, warm climate - there is a slightly baked quality that is not off putting. I called this for what it was - I brought it.

February 27, 2018 - Lovely spicy nose, developed secondary characters on the palate mixed with lovely black fruits and a hint of liquorice. Very supple with smooth tannins, perhaps a bit loose knit but very hedonistic drink.
