November 2, 2017 - Tastes a bit spoofy - a bit of cheap oak, poorly integrated acid, and a simple yellow raisin and green apple flavor. Still, it's got some energy and isn't offensive. you can do a lot worse for $9.

April 15, 2016 - Still fresh but to drink now. It is gradually becoming tired. Aroma of lime blossom.

May 26, 2015 - Youthful greenish color. Very lush, ripe and sweet nose with primary, fruity aromas of peach, some banana and a hint of pear and pear drops. The sweet nose leads to expect similar kind of flavors, but the palate is surprisingly light, dry, crisp and with good acid zip. Intense flavors of fresh citrus fruits, acid-driven lemon, some grassy notes, hints of ripe tropical fruits and rather pronounced bitterness. Crisp, refreshing finish with high acidity and flavors of lemony citrus fruits, ripe green apple, grass and some apple peel bitterness.

The wine is not anything unique or of big character, but it is a balanced high-quality Verdejo with typical grassy and bitter flavors combined with high acidity. The nose is still very primary, but I can see it settling down to something more typical of the variety with some age. Good, crisp stuff and worth its at 5,80€ for a half bottle.

December 28, 2014 - Verdejo e Viura. 12,5% abv. Rolha. Amarelo pálido. Nariz adocicado, que remete a compota de pêssegos e de abacaxis. Na boca é bastante leve, com acidez medíocre, um pouco insosso. Beba o mais cedo possível!

November 8, 2014 - Screw cap. 100% Verdejo. Medium-high aromatics showing lovely floral, herbal nose, with a backdrop of earth, and hints of guava and banana. Very complex nose. Palate is medium+ bodied with herbal, white grapefruit, passion fruit and hints of tropical fruit. Fresh acids are nicely balanced, while the dry finish is very good. Excellent value! Score: 88+ pts

July 9, 2014 - At the winery in Elciego, tour and tasting. Really spectacular setting...

First experience with this wine. Straw color, clear and bright. Lemon grass, citrus on the nose, youthful as expected. Palate of citrus, green apples, orange zest, mango. Medium body and finish.

This is a bright and enjoyable wine, great for Summer parties, aperitif or with salads...drink now, not made to last more than a couple years

March 31, 2014 - The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon-green colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and youthful, showing pronounced intensity aromas of mango, banana, fermenting dough, orange blossom and green apples. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium+ acidity. It has low soft tannins and a medium+ alcohol. It has a medium body and medium+ intensity flavours of mango, banana, orange blossom and green apples. Medium+ somewhat bitter finish.

It is a very good quality wine with a good fruit concentration and finish, it is a fresh and easy to drink wine that, however, lacks complexity. Drink now, not suitable for ageing, the wine will lose its attractive primary aromas and become reduced soon.

February 8, 2014 - In Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. Vibrant nose of banana and gooseberries. Full bodied and dry on the palate, showing lush tropical fruit and gooseberries with good acidic structure. Very nice indeed.
