March 11, 2012 - Decanted 3 hours prior to consumption. Tasted after 1.5 hours in the decanter, there was minimal fruit and the finish was still tight with a tannic grip. With the extra 1.5 hours of air, the fruit emerged, nuances appeared, and the tannins melted into a long finish. Ahh, the power of cool climate Pinot, biodynamically farmed and spontaneously fermented!

March 1, 2010 - Tasted in 2010. This wine shows ruby red and clear. A green, stemmy nose, that is difficult to nurse much else out. There's notes of black cherry and spice but difficult to pass over the stemmy notes. Medium bodied with lingering acidity showing better on the palate with bright cherry fruits. Not quite worth the price point.

October 17, 2009 - Very distinct bitterness on the forward palate initially, reminding me of persiminons. This finally blew off leaving a very dense pinot in its wake. Overall an interesting pinot but very odd and not my favorite.

May 8, 2009 - If I had another bottle to look at in a few more years I would probably rate this wine higher. Popped and poured with sushi and it really needed some time. It was also too cold when served. Once it opened it was great. Still pretty tight. Needs a few more years.

July 27, 2007 - Great dark purple color. This is a large scale wine although it has some real grace to it as well. Brambly berries as well as warm cinnamon buns on the nose. The palate is big but its got some restraint as well. Great long finish. This wine just flows.
