January 19, 2017 - This is an excellent Villages wine. Very pretty light-medium ruby, solid to the rim, with excellent legs. Nose is very lovely, delicate, rose-petal. Slight earth and cherry scents hint at complexities to come. Quite an elegant wine, with fine complexity of fruit showing off cherry, berry, and soil. California wines have a tough time emulating this. Long, fine finish. This wine just grew and grew in complexity in both bouquet and flavor as it aired. Very lovely. 5-13-16-9: 93/100.

December 11, 2016 - Spicy nose at first, almost piercing, clove and nutmeg. Needs to breath, then shows off beautiful red fruit with the spices still there but now drawn more to the background. a touch sweet oak, and lactic notes. Round and elegant. For the price quite good Burgundy value.
