November 4, 2018 - We opened the 2010, 2012 and 2014 together. Had them with charred mackerel as a starter. These 3 are the highest rated vintages in the last decade. The 2014 was the palest, the 2012 the most coloured. The 2014 was the freshest and sweetest (and the one with most on the nose), the 2012 the most potent and the 2010 the smoothest. All 3 were typical Chablis on the palate (these were grand crus. There can be a lot of variation between estates in Chablis especially in low yield 'difficult' years) but we did not expect such a wide variation between the 3 vintages. The 2014 you could have on its own. The 2010 and 2012 stand up well with food. The 2010 and 2012 should be drunk now.

June 16, 2017 - Wine-pages Glasgow Festival of Wine Pre Offline (Cail Bruich, Glasgow): A big nose, with lemon, butter, and a touch of earthiness, that's verging on stink.
Stony minerality on the palate. Lovely buttery chardonnay fruit. Nice depth and balance. Impressive.
