August 11, 2019 - Ruby with a slight haze. Cigar box and bramble fruit on the nose. Blackberry and cassis, baking spices, cola, with a touch of chocolate on the palate. Classic sophisticated Aussie Shiraz, which wears its 15.5% ABV well. Yum!

July 20, 2019 - This was way too hot at 15.5% abv. Opened to let breathe for 4+ hours but this needs a good decant. I recall this being more integrated a couple years ago. A bit disappointed at thos price point.

July 11, 2019 - Tasted over three days. Jammy blueberry and blackberry (sense of manipulation), eucalyptus, and sweet pipe tobacco on the bouquet and palate. Huge up front, the wine begins fading at the middle and finishes abruptly. No better than medium acid, probably medium minus, with an astringency resulting from over extraction masquerades as acid at the back. Not much here.

June 8, 2019 - Very ripe/high alcohol Shiraz - not my favourite style, but that's me. Blueberry jam, cola and tea leaves on the palate. Acidity almost all gone. Medium length. Fine drink for sure but a little disappointing given the price

updated: the half bottle we left overnight was decidedly better today, should have decanted last night. Still a little jammy and not my favourite style, but there was a subtle juiciness that was not there last night and the wine seemed more lively. hard to get over that level of alcohol though .. I have upped the score by 1 points
