September 3, 2019 - We enjoyed this wine and for the price it was amazing! Aged very well.
December 14, 2018 - This is a refreshing, slightly tart wine at the start. Let it sit for awhile and warm up a bit. It has lovely and bright red fruits that mix and mingle in lively ways as the wine opens up. We loved it with a chicken dinner. Perfect for the holiday season.
February 24, 2017 - Southern-most and largest Cru in the region.
Funky approach, not fruity. Not to mineral. Has an interesting earthy note to the palate. Perhaps going to the grassy/vitamin place that Thivin Brouilly as taken me previously.
October 30, 2016 - Colour: cherry red
Nose: red berry/cherry and raspberry, earthy/barnyard, charred oak particularly dominant when first open. Fruit is very muted.
Palate: some sharp, crisp red berry fruit -- raspberry and strawberry? Charred oak. Rather muted and short on palate. Good find drying tannins and fresh acidity. I'm not familiar with Brouilly but I've had far better wines from other crus in Beaujolais, this is just muted and underwhelming. Not sure if it's a badly stored bottle? 12,5% alcohol, medium to light bodied.
October 8, 2015 - Solid Cru rated Beaujolais from Brouilly. Light-Medium body with medium fruit and rounded acid on the finish.
December 20, 2014 - Very good wine, but quite simple, some black & red fruits, some dusty oak, earth.
October 3, 2014 - fresh and fruity red fruit aromas. event though there is no carbonic, all destemmed. same for the reserve wine. there is some herbal spice on the palate. concentration and rather easy acid to fruit concentrate balance.
August 28, 2014 - Med red purple. Smells and tastes of ripe but not over ripe cherries. This is good and is for enjoying young. Concentrated simple flavour in a light to med weight package.
