March 10, 2007 - smoky plum, but bottled was flawed, VA or something

    March 8, 2007 - WIMLNR

Tasted March 8, 2007 at home as part of the Wino Depot Tasting With Friends Event. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of 4-ethyl phenol dominated Brettanomyces followed by some notes of boysenberry, plum, smoke, camphor and balsa wood. Flavors of tart berries and cherries early on. Singular red cherries later on. Light acidity, light to medium tannins and body.
