August 19, 2021 - First bottle of S-F Felseneck GG that acctually feels like it’s properly mature and doesn’t need any more time in the cellar. Lots of lemon, but ripe and rounded. More lemon pie than the acctual fruit. Some apples, hints of pear and melon. High acidity of course, but tempered by the round and soft fruit. Good lenght. Lacking some in complexity.

First bottle of this vintage for me. Either this is a slightly prematurely advanced bottle or this vintage is softer than most.

I guessed younger, nose is typical for SF, but in the palate more balanced than 17. Reductive, balanced sugar. 94+, too young even from regular bottle

July 5, 2020 - A little shy, still very young and austere.
Didn´t show much more on day 2, when i finished the bottle with the conclusion that more patience is needed for the left bottles. The wine has concentration, acidity and freshness for much more Riesling-Fun during this beginning decade. 92-95

May 8, 2020 - Consumed over 3 weeks (vacumized and kept in fridge). Outstanding to the last drop. Prototype of a german dry riesling. Great complexity, depth, finesse and freshness.

April 20, 2020 - Nose has white peach, crushed rock, slight petrol, lemon zest, good intensity, I really like the nose on this wine. Palate matches, very acid and mineral driven palate, extremely fresh and lively. Drinking great now with plenty of life. Wish I had bought more at release, price has gone up quite a bit. 93-94

April 16, 2020 - the wine is clear, dark room but seems developing, medium yellow, watery rim.

Nose is clean, medium + intense aromas of lime, apples, stonefruit, peach and nectarine, shows some aromas from agening and finally opening, hint of tropical friuit, complex. Developing

Palate is dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, body and medium+ flavour intensity, high dry-extract with aromas of lime, lemon peel, fresh apples, different stonefruit like peaches, apricot, very mineralic, complex and long finsh

very well balanced, long fruit and mineralic drivven finish, intense acidity and concentrated aromas with deep complexity and many many years to come. Outstanding quality and it develops perfectly, 95

Typical Felseneck nose, some Lemon zest, Saline, flintstone, I would decant it for 5-8h. For the next 10-15 years. 94+

December 22, 2019 - Concept Riesling Christmas Special 2019 (Concept Riesling, Düsseldorf): Blind, from magnum
Nailed it. Typical Felseneck nose, unbelievable fresh. Saline, spicy, green apple and yuzu. At least 10 more years. Cracking acidity but very perfectly balanced. 95(96)
