December 1, 2022 - Starting to decline; but still nice. The nose is purely tertiary - cooked red fruits, mushrooms, older leather and pencil lead. The palate is a bit fruitier - sour cherries and big over ripe strawberries join the aforementioned tertiary notes. Medium + body, low tannins (almost completely gone) but some acid is still around.

    Drink now, and quickly!

October 9, 2022 - Wine aged well (2011 vintage consumed in 2022). Tannins incredibly mellow, soft flavours of dried and sour cherry, not much for spices. Was a good addition to thanksgiving ham!

    February 28, 2021 - Delicious gift bottle

September 24, 2020 - Nice choice to accompany BBQ'd pork ribs. Needed an hour of decanting before it started to open, ultimately revealing a big, bold fruit smorgasbord punch.

April 10, 2020 - Decanted for over 2 hours. Aromas and flavors of blueberry, blackberry, plum with savory notes of leather, black olive, and licorice. Medium finish of ripe fruit with balanced acidity and well integrated tannins.
