September 15, 2019 - Dark purple. Big nose of black fruits, grilled meat, and loamy soil. Many balanced layers of blackberries, blueberry, black cherry and tea. Smooth and long. Neither tart nor flabby. Did not overpower the grilled veal chop.
August 6, 2019 - young
February 10, 2019 - I like it with some air. like an hour.
December 5, 2017 - These wines are built to age and seem to improve/emerge each day, month and year with greater complexity, arousing flavors and depth. It is really drinking well now, and I’m contemplating what it might show over the next 5 - 10 years.
November 18, 2017 - This is in a great place now. Opened about 2 hours before drinking. Nose has blue fruits and a little cassis. The taste had lovely dark fruit with ample acids and soft tannins with a long finish. Not a CdP style it shows Its own Paso origins to a positive effect. Thank goodness I took a chance on this vintage and have more.
August 11, 2017 - Drinking well six years from vintage. Well integrated with some complexity, but a little too sweet. Could use some earthiness to balance it. Dark blue fruits. Recommend a decant. Drink now or hold a few years.
February 12, 2017 - Drinking nicely and ready to go with a long future
February 6, 2017 - drank blind after 4 hour decant and was convinced that this was Cali cab. Dark as night. Smooth finish. Really enjoyed.
January 14, 2017 - Beast mode here. Similar notes to before with black fruits, good core of licorice, tar, and earth. Full supple tannins with long finish.
November 28, 2016 - Let this open for an hour; what a great example of California Syrah. Full bodied but in control; dark as night; slight black pepper edge. Hard to beat this.
