November 10, 2014 - The Wine Society - The Wines of Spain (Merchant Taylors' Hall): Lovely nose, lovely wine.
November 10, 2014 - TWS Spain (Merchant Tailors' Hall): Alberdi. Quite a rich, plummy nose with some spice. Again, quite plush and rounded. Positive finish. A little fresher than the CVNE Imperial, a halfway house between that and the Ardanza. ***1/2
October 27, 2014 - Classic old school rioja, cherry fruit, vanilla oak, and a long warm sappy finish.
August 30, 2014 - Like my favourite Rioja, Gómez Cruzado, this wine comes from vineyards in Haro. Aromas of dark berry fruit and vanilla. Full bodied, rich and with good acidity. I enjoyed the earthy, toasty and spicy characters. Great long finish.
June 8, 2014 - Creamy, vanilla nose with spiciness too. Black and red fruit on the palate with a savoury finish. Very nice.
